Special briefing on U.S. Tariff Policy impact

A special meeting titled “Impact of U.S. Tariff Policy on Sri Lanka” takes place this morning (July 10) at 11 a.m. at the Presidential Secretariat, bringing together top officials to discuss the potential implications of recent changes in U.S. tariff policy on the Sri Lankan economy.

Key officials expected to participate in the discussion include Dr. Harshana Sooriyapperuma, Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development; Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka; K. A. Wimalenthiraraja, Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development and Duminda Hulugalle, Senior Presidential Adviser.

The briefing will focus on how recent changes in U.S. tariff policy could affect Sri Lanka’s economy and trade sectors.
