Academics present insights at South Eastern University’s ICST 2024

The 4th International Conference on Science and Technology (ICST 2024) at the South Eastern University last week saw scholars, researchers and academics submitting and presenting their original, unpublished research works and insights across a multitude of fields. The conference on the theme ‘Exploring Innovative Horizons through Modern Technologies for a Sustainable Future’ was held on October 16. Prof Dilanthi Amaratunga, Director, Global Disaster Resilience Centre, University of Huddersfield, UK and Prof Chaklam Silpasuwanchai, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Information Management, School of Engineering and Technology, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand participated as keynote speakers.

Vice Chancellor Prof A Rameez was the chief guest at the event chaired by Dr U L Abdul Majeed, Dean, Faculty of Technology. Dr Muneeb M Musthafa, Senior Lecturer in BST, Dept of Biosystems Technology was coordinator of the conference while A R Fathima Shafana, Lecturer in ICT attached to Dept of Information and Communication Technology was secretary of the initiative. M S Shafana, Senior Lecturer in ICT worked in the capacity of treasurer. Several academic papers on network and security technologies, data science and AI, multimedia and gaming technologies, computing and information systems, internet of things, animal science and aquaculture technology, agriculture economics and entrepreneurship and bio systems engineering and automation were presented.
