The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Sri Lanka discussed strengthening coordinated efforts to combat human trafficking.
Chief of Mission of IOM Sri Lanka and Maldives Kristin B. Parco called on Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The ensuing discussion detailed IOM’s interventions in Sri Lanka including matters pertaining to labour migration, strengthening coordinated efforts to combat human trafficking, and facilitating safe return and sustainable reintegration.
