Sri Lanka rupee opens weaker at 292.68/75 to dollar, bond yields down

Sri Lanka’s rupee opened at 292.68/75 to the US dollar Friday, dealers said, from 292.55/65 Thursday, while bond yields were considerably down.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 10.45/55 percent, down from 10.40/60 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2027 was quoted at 11.30/35 percent, down from 11.30/45 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at 11.58/60 percent, down from 11.80/86 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2028 was quoted at 11.75/78 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 was quoted stable at 11.95/12.05 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 12.15/20 percent, down from 12.10/20 percent.
The central bank announced Rs 85,000 million Treasury Bonds under the series of 09.00%2028 ‘B’ and Rs. 47,500 million Treasury Bonds under the series of 09.00%2032 ‘A’ are to be issued through an auction on November 12.
In equities, Colombo’s All Share Price Index opened up 0.39 percent, or 49.70 points higher at 12,777, while the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks opened up 0.16 percent or 6.06 points higher at 3,829.
The market turnover was 198 million rupees.
