Former Ministers Ramesh Pathirana and Manusha Nanayakkara have lost their seats in the Galle district in 2024 general election.
The National People’s Power won seven seats from the Galle District while Samagi Jana Balawegeya and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna received one seat each.
New Democratic Front (NDF)failed to secure a seat from the Galle District.

Former Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has lost his parliamentary seat in the Matara district, as the New Democratic Front (NDF) failed to secure any seats in the 2024 General Election.
