Ambeon Capital brings down nearly 30 fund managers from Germany

Ambeon Capital PLC (ACP) has invited nearly 30 fund managers from Germany for a four-day visit to Sri Lanka, aimed at exploring opportunities in public and private equity investments, as well as Greenfield Foreign Direct Investments.

The delegation, led by NFS Netfonds, which manages €27 billion in assets, is meeting key institutions and government officials, including Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe.

According to Christian Hammer, Managing Director of NFS Netfonds, German investors are seeking new investment frontiers, and Sri Lanka presents a promising option due to the election of the NPP, the continuity of the IMF program, and growing opportunities linked to India’s economy.

Ambeon Capital, which is involved in sectors like footwear, property, manufacturing, IT, and financial services, has attracted attention with its recent acquisitions, including a 9% stake in DFCC and Seylan banks, sparking interest in the financial, tourism, and IT sectors.
