The government gas accorded priority to human resource management in securing a significant position in the global labor market. Deputy Minister of Vocational Education, Nalin Hewage, emphasized.
He made these remarks during a program held at the Lanka-German Technical Training Institute in Moratuwa.Deputy Minister Hewage highlighted the limitations of physical resources in national development, contrasting them with the boundless potential of human resources.
The current government, led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the National People’s Power, has placed a strong emphasis on developing this human capital.”He further noted the substantial opportunities available for Sri Lankan labor in the global market, stressing the need to capture a larger share.
“Currently, Sri Lanka earns over USD 7 billion annually from foreign employment, mostly from unskilled labor. Many mothers leave the country to work abroad under challenging conditions.
