President to meet several world leaders in UAE

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is scheduled to hold discussions with several world leaders such as Colombian President Gustavo Petro, Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair today during his second day of the three-day-official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He is also scheduled to participate in the plenary session of the ‘World Governments Summit 2025’ in Dubai today, held under the theme ‘Shaping Future Governments,’ the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Throughout the day, he is also set to engage in several strategically significant bilateral discussions where arrangements have been made for bilateral talks with the CEO of Dow Jones, followed by a meeting with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, the PMD said.

President Dissanayake will hold discussions with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and later in the afternoon, he is scheduled to engage in a bilateral meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to discuss key issues of mutual interest.

The President will also meet the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Oracle and in the evening, he will hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah.

Concluding the day’s engagements, the President will attend a community event at the Pullman City Centre, the PMD said.
