Suspect assassinated inside Sri Lanka court in the capital Colombo

A suspect in organized crime was assassinated in a daring shooting inside a court in Sri Lanka’s main court complex in the capital Colombo, in the latest in a series of killings by rival gangs in the island.
The report quoted police as saying that that the suspect was assassinated by a gunman who arrived dressed as a lawyer.

Sanjeewa Kumara alias ‘Ganemulla Sanjeeva’ had been in custody since his arrest in September 2023 at Sri Lanka’s main airport.
