The Finance Ministry this week invited Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from consultancy firms to conduct a needs assessment to initiate a Trade National Single Window (TNSW) system to interconnect several government agencies engaged in international trade proceedings.
The EOIs were called to assess the current status of 18 public institutions set to be covered under the system.“The selected firm will be responsible for providing practical guidelines and recommendations to improve the system in line with global best practices,” a notice by the ministry stated.
The needs assessment is expected to be rolled out over three months. EOI submissions are to be evaluated based on business registration, experience, qualifications, and the expertise of personnel allocated for the assignment.
Moreover, the consultancy firm will be selected following the government’s procurement guidelines under a Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) method.According to the Finance Ministry, the TNSW is an initiative aimed at simplifying and streamlining international trade processes through a centralised digital platform.
