Singer Sri Lanka Becomes Authorised Starlink Retailer

Singer Sri Lanka has been appointed the authorised retailer for SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service, offering high-speed, unlimited internet across the island, including remote and underserved areas.

Starlink, developed by US-based aerospace company SpaceX, uses a network of low-Earth orbit satellites to deliver fast, reliable connectivity beyond the reach of traditional infrastructure. Singer customers can now purchase and activate Starlink hardware—comprising a dish, Wi-Fi router, cables, and power adapter—through its islandwide outlets or online, with prices starting at Rs. 69,000.

Singer Group Managing Director Mahesh Wijewardene said the company is the first in Sri Lanka to secure formal approval from SpaceX, enabling borderless internet along the island’s northern and southern coasts. Chairman Mohan Pandithage called the move a milestone in advancing national digital connectivity, supporting inclusive, technology-driven growth.

Starlink offers an unlimited monthly subscription, with users able to manage services via a mobile app. Singer will provide residential, mobile, and business-grade options, backed by after-sales support and warranty. Preorders are now open, with free nationwide delivery and flexible credit card payment plans, marking a significant step in bridging Sri Lanka’s digital divide
