England to tour Sri Lanka in 2026

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that England’s men’s cricket team will tour Sri Lanka in early 2026 for a white-ball series ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

The tour will feature three ODIs and three T20Is, beginning on January 22, 2026. The ODI leg will conclude on January 27, after which the teams will shift to the T20 format from January 30 to February 3.

Venues for the matches are yet to be confirmed.

This will be England’s first white-ball series in Sri Lanka in more than seven years. Their last tour was in 2018, when they defeated Sri Lanka 3-1 in the ODI series and won the only T20I.

England and Sri Lanka last faced off in a T20I during the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, where England secured a four-wicket win in the group stage.
