Ajai Vir Singh to showcase Sri Lanka at BRICS+ Summit

Ajai Vir Singh, the founder of Colombo Fashion Week and the Responsible Fashion initiative, will represent Sri Lanka at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow from 28 to 30 August.

The summit is an influential platform for fashion associations, designers, and industry leaders from over 60 countries. In just three years, it has showcased emerging fashion industries from 90 nations, positioning Moscow as a growing global fashion hub.

The Business Program of the Summit will focus on sustainability, innovation, trade, and professional education, offering fresh opportunities for collaboration. Singh is expected to share insights on Sri Lanka’s evolving fashion ecosystem and highlight the importance of cultural exchange in driving creativity and innovation.

“BRICS+ is uniting diverse voices from around the world. It is not only about fashion but also about dialogue and cooperation, which contribute directly to creativity and global partnerships,” Singh noted.

The event coincides with Moscow Fashion Week, running from 28 August to 2 September, where Russian and international designers will showcase collections, creating a vibrant multicultural platform.

Colombo Fashion Week, now more than 20 years old, is one of South Asia’s leading fashion platforms and continues to drive Sri Lanka’s creative economy. Singh’s participation at BRICS+ is expected to enhance Sri Lanka’s visibility on the global stage while opening up new growth opportunities for local brands.
