IMF Executive Director reminds Sri Lanka of tax management

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Director Dr. Krishnamoorthy Subramanian yesterday called on Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office in Colombo.

The meeting focused on key economic matters, including tax policy, the effective management of tax revenue, and measures to enhance public sector efficiency, a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office noted.

The Prime Minister also outlined the Government’s future development agenda, highlighting policy proposals to ensure economic stability and foster sustainable growth, it added.

IMF Alternate Executive Director Dr. P.K.G. Harischandra also participated in the discussions.
