New smart classroom for Koswatta Gamini Maha Vidyalaya

In a step towards promoting digital education in rural areas, CIC Agri Cluster handed over a fully-furnished Smart Classroom valued at Rs. 3 million to Koswatta Gamini Maha Vidyalaya, located in Bingiriya, Kuliyapitiya, on July 3, 2025.
The donation, made under CIC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, includes 10 computers, a digital smart board, and modern classroom furniture, aimed at enhancing students’ access to technology and digital learning platforms.
The official handover ceremony was attended by several senior officials from both CIC and the education and agriculture sectors. Among them were CIC Agri Cluster Managing Director Waruna Madawanaarachchi, Deputy Managing Director Anjana Leelarathna, and Group Head of Human Resources Aruna Jayasekara.
Representing the state sector were Provincial Director of Agriculture P. Sisira Kumara, Additional Director of Agriculture T.A.U.K. Weerasekara, and Zonal Deputy Director of Education (Administration) Saman Wijesekara.
The event was hosted by the school’s Principal, Amila Dasanayake, with staff, students, and members of the local community in attendance.
