Panasian Power commissions two 5MW solar projects

Panasian Power PLC announced the successful inauguration of two 5MW ground-mounted solar projects on 17 May 2025.

It said these projects, operating through subsidiaries of PAP, are located at the Anuradhapura and Maho grid substations and are expected to be connected to the CEB grid shortly.

“This pre-commissioning represents a significant milestone in our renewable energy development strategy, adding a total of 5MWac/ 6.24MWp to the national grid and supporting Sri Lanka’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy capacity,” PAP said in a disclosure to the Colombo Stock Exchange.

“In line with our commitment to integrating advanced technology where feasible, both the projects utilises bi-facial, N type Solar PV module with tracker technology, where PV modules follow sun path to best harness the irradiation,” it added.
