Discussions regarding the tariffs imposed on Sri Lanka are scheduled to begin on May 27 in Washington, government sources said.
The talks would be a part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral trade relations between the two countries.
A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Harshana Suriyapperuma, will represent Sri Lanka in the talks.
This marks the second round of discussions, reflecting continued diplomatic engagement and economic dialogue between Sri Lanka and the United States.
The talks are being held at the invitation of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), which oversees international trade policy and negotiations on behalf of the U.S. government.
Sri Lanka is one of the number of countries which US imposed export tariff on.
