SLTB earns nearly Rs. 1,300 million over past nine days

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has earned nearly Rs. 1,300 million in revenue over the past nine days, and the income is expected to increase further in the coming days, SLTB Manager H. Piyathilaka said.He told the media that bus operations had commenced on April 10.

He further said that a 24-hour bus service is currently in operation, and a special bus service has been arranged specifically for devotees attending the ‘Siri Dalada Wandanawa’ in Kandy.Nearly 150 SLTB buses have been deployed on the Kandy–Colombo route.

Special bus services will also continue for commuters returning to Colombo after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the SLTB Manager added.
