
Sri Lanka and UAE sign an agreement to establish the Joint Business Council

Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates have signed an agreement to establish the UAE-Sri Lanka Joint Business Council, the ministry of foreign affairs said.
The MoU on the establishment of UAE-Sri Lanka Joint Business Council was exchanged in the presence of Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath and Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Abdullah Bin Zayed.
Herath and Bin Zayed discussed a range of matters of mutual interest, the ministry said. The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed its commitment to building bridges of cooperation and partnership with Sri Lanka and all friendly countries to promote prosperity, sustainable development, and quality of life for all.
Visiting Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan made this remark during a meeting with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo. The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, building on the strong and evolving ties between the two nations.
