Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed an agreement on Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments to strengthen economic and investment relations between the two countries, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
The agreement was signed during President Anura Kumara Disanayake’s three-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the World Governments Summit 2025.
The agreement was signed by UAE’s Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini and Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath.
“This bilateral agreement establishes a secure legal framework to expand investment opportunities in global markets while ensuring the protection of foreign investments,” the PMD said in a statement.
