The wildfire in Utah,U.S. has burned more than 400 acres

The massive wildfire that hit Utah County, U.S., which started on August 17, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., has now burned more than 400 acres. According to international news reports, it spread rapidly due to the dry grass and brush.

An earlier report stated that the burned area was 250 acres, but it has since grown larger.

At the moment, there are no evacuation orders, but officials warn that power lines and homes south of Slate Creek Road could be at risk if conditions change. They also said that light winds are pushing the fire further up the mountain.

While there are currently no evacuation orders, officials are closely monitoring the situation. They have indicated that if conditions change, per-evacuation plans may be activated, and affected residents will be notified through a reverse 911 system. Authorities have also emphasized the importance of staying informed and prepared

Fire crews from local, county, state, and federal agencies are working together, with helicopters and airplanes dropping water from Bartholomew Pond and Park, which are being used as water sources.

Authorities have closed the area to the public and warned that drones are not allowed, as flying a drone would force firefighting aircraft to stop working.
