Tourist boat sinks, 37 dead in Vietnam

At least 37 people have died and several others remain missing after a tourist boat capsized in Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay amid rough weather conditions yesterday.

According to officials, most of the victims were Vietnamese families traveling from the capital, Hanoi, on holiday when the incident occurred. The rescue team saved 11 victims, who are currently receiving medical treatment.

Rescue operations have been ongoing despite the heavy rains and rough sea conditions.
