Man arrested for circulating fake Rs. 5,000 note featuring President’s image

A 38-year-old man was arrested for circulating an image of a fake Rs. 5,000 note, featuring a picture of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on social media.

The suspect was arrested in Piliyandala by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The suspect, a resident of Athurugiriya is to be produced before court.
